Further news on the 11.6” Samsung N510 mini-notebook has been revealed today.

Netbook Choice has discovered there are more models of the Samsung N510. Not only is there the N510, but also a N508 and N510 model. No details on what specs they have though. I would guess a model without ION would be in there. Netbook Choice suggests a model with a smaller 10-inch display.

Netbook News Italia has discovered that the N510 will be using the ION LE chipset which is designed for Windows XP and DirectX 9. (The regular ION supports DirectX 10 and works with Vista/Windows 7)

DELL introduces 3 monitor

Dell has introduced three new LCD monitors on the quiet. The models in question are the Dell ST2310 for $229, the E2210H for $199 and E2010H for $139. They are available in 23″, 22″ and 20″ sizes. This trio is aimed at movie junkies, as they sport extra wide 16:9 aspect ratios.

The ST2310 and E2210H have native 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution support, while the E2010H has a resolution of just 1600 x 900 pixels. These are pretty affordable monitors if you are in the market for a new one.

The ST2310 is adjustable with 360° rotation combined with a panel tilt of up to 4° forward and 21° backward.

Lg XCanvas home theater

The latest XCanvas home theater from LG looks pretty futuristic and is available in two different varieties. The HT964TZ (5.1ch) and HT564DG (2.1ch) come in the unique form of a glass of champagne with a red wine color.

Both models support only DVDs with LG’s state of the art upscaling technology. No price on these yet, but just look at them, they are sure to be an expensive non-Blu-ray option. Currently they are only available in Korea.

Why would they not support Blu-Ray? Oh well. I guess they just love them some DVDs.

Mercury skate

I have seen the future of skates and its name is Mercury. It’s finally skating weather for those of you who enjoy it, but all that vibration due to crappy roads and sidewalks takes away from the experience, doesn’t it?

Maybe designer Pouyan Mokhtarani will make it a more pleasant experience with these skates that look like they are still scorching hot due to arriving from the future. Springs and airbags in the shoes could make skating feel as smooth as ice skating. Judging by the looks of these skates, skating may even be like flying.

Lego film projector

This tiny LEGO movie theater is awesome. It actually features a working, very tiny movie projector. The projector works at 24 fps, so it may not be good picture quality, but Lego minifigs have a different eyesight than you have. It’s nicely detailed. Even the seats are numbered. The builder, Ricardo M. Oliv, did an awesome job. Now all he needs is full length movies and he can sell tickets to other geeks who can sit their minifigs in the seats with a miniature popcorn and soda.

The rectangular form factor can take a bit of getting used to and thanks to most functions being controlled by touchscreen buttons you will always be looking at the remote when you are using it. Most users learn the placement of buttons on normal remotes and can operate components without looking at the remote, this won’t happen with the 1100.
