FLO TV Personal Television

FLO TV has rolled out its Personal Television device that will enable TV addicts to watch their favorite news, live sports, children’s programming and entertainment on a dedicated device just meant for mobile TV viewing. No disrespect to them, but with video on demand technology in our homes alongside the widespread proliferation of portable media players, we're not too sure just how many people will pick up the FLO TV Personal Television in the end despite it being positioned for a holiday season release.

Dell Adamo XPS looks the notebook super Slims...

Dell just revealed this thing today. Sadly they did little more than wave it around and put it away so we don’t have any specs.

Looks like it unfolds in a new way though and it makes even a MacBook Air look fat. We should get some specs soon and when we do, we’ll let you know.

The device has solar panels on the back to help charge the battery and features sound reduction technology to eliminate background noise. The headset also uses a design that allows air to flow to the ear canal so your ears don’t feel plugged up when you wear the headset.

Other features include support for A2DP for streaming music from your compatible phone to the headset. Two devices can be paired to the headset at the same time and the wireless range is 33 feet. iTech’s SolarVoice 908 is available now for $74.99 on Amazon.

ipod dock concept

The dock is aimed at the iPod or iPhone user and was designed by Michael Young for Native Union. The device has a brushed aluminum cover and an olive green body. The dock slides in and out of the base of the device for a sleeker profile when not in use.

The dock also allows the iPhone user to make and receive calls, presumably turning into a speakerphone. The argument here is that by using the dock for calls instead of holding the phone you can dodge 96% of that dastardly radiation that you phone puts out.

Dell puts nail polish

This time the company is putting the color of your favorite nail polish on your laptop’s lid. Dell has teamed up with OPI, the nail polish maker in order to put 26 shades on laptops.

The privilege will cost you an extra $85. And you won’t have to put cotton balls between the lid and base while blowing it dry. For once, Dell might be onto something that the ladies will like. Maybe.

amigurumi prince ready to roll up

The world of Katamari Damacy is a strange one, to be sure, but it sure is cute. The Prince and his colorful cousins are each cuter than the others, and though the idea of sticking people and animals to a giant ball and then rolling them around is pretty horrific if you think about it, in Katamari, even this sort of dire torture manages to be adorable. So when you run across a Prince made of yarn, you know what you’re gonna get: soft and cuddly cuteness. With these amigurumi projects, the faces are usually stylized, or at least crocheted like the rest, but perhaps with beads attached. Not so here; the Prince’s unique little features have been rendered in fabric and sewn on, for that extra touch. In the burgeoning crochet “market,” a crafter’s gotta do something to stand out. The katamari itself is just another bonus!

microsia makes molecular

Here’s a cool little PC program for creating ambient electronic music. And it sure looks purty while it’s doing it.The setting for Andreas Illiger’s Microsia is inside of a virtual “plant cell” of a leaf. As you move your cursor around, you touch “cellular particles” which will be used as triggers for the ambient sounds.Microsia may look a bit like Flow, but it’s not about gameplay this time – it’s all about making music. Sounds are created by manipulating the position of the particles, then turning them on to initiate sequences of sounds. Some of the particles set tone, while others modulate sounds or tempo. It’s really pretty cool once you actually read the instructions.

alessi laser shot watch projects time

Who needs old fashioned hands that go around a dial, when you can have lasers? That’s the thinking behind the latest concept watch from Alessi. Supposedly, the Laser Shot watch won’t burn your hand as it pew pew pews the time on your wrist using a laser beam.

So it’s totally safe.

bluewatchdog personal

Bluetooth technology is great for handling wireless, hands-free calls, but I bet you’ve never used it like this. Think of this one as a virtual perimeter device. The BlueWatchDog Personal Anti-Theft Alarm will alert you on your cellphone if someone steals your belongings, like say your wallet and takes them outside of your specific radius.

Basically the alarm will sound in an ear piercing shriek that hopefully will make the thief scared and drop what they are stealing…. Only to have them break it if it’s an expensive device no doubt.

It will cost you £43.47. Who knows. Might come in handy.
